Are you getting Error codes (ex: SC541) on your copier?

The first thing to always try is turning off the copier with the "MAIN" power button.  This is the "RED" button usually located on the front of the copier.  It may be located though on the left or right side of the machine slightly above where the paper trays would be.  Sometimes when you tunr off the copier this way and then back on about 1 minute later it will clear out old memory and reset the machine to it's original state when it was working fine.  This does not always happen this way so it is not a 100% fix, but it does fix the copier sometimes about 50% of the time.  Turning off the copier from the top of the machine on the "POWER" button does not work, this button is only for "power saving mode".
